Qualifications
Giersch & Associates, Inc., since its formation in 1974, has completed many projects in the field of public works for the planning, design and supervision of construction on projects such as streets and highways, water systems, sewer systems, water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants for both domestic and industrial wastewater systems, storm drain systems, airports, street lighting and traffic signals, and other land use projects.
Research Engineering - Giersch & Associates, Inc. provides research and document preparation services for water and wastewater system appraisals and reports; project development fees with annual up-dates; assessment districts and reports; planning reports and assessments. Environmental Impact Report services to prepare environmental reports and assessments are available for both the public and private sector clients. We also serve as an expert witness in civil engineering matters.
We have been most successful in obtaining grants from the Rural Economic and Community Development Services (formerly FmHA), the Economic Development Administration, Housing and Urban Development Department and the Environmental Protective Agency at the Federal level as well as grants of State funds from the Department of Water Resources and Parks and Recreation. We have been involved with most projects from the time of conception through administration, design, construction, startup and operation and maintenance training. As CITY ENGINEERS, Giersch & Associates, Inc. provide consultation services to City Councils, Planning Commissions and Administrative Staff, for all public works and planning matters within the City. In addition we provide engineering and technical assistance for project funding, grantsmanship, project design, development and construction supervision. Currently we are serving as the City Engineer for the following:

As DISTRICT ENGINEERS - We serve in an advisory capacity to the Board of Directors and provide engineering services for all projects within the following districts:
- Tranquillity Public Utility District.

Office Location
Giersch & Associates, Inc. is located in the heart of the Central San Joaquin Valley of California in Madera, fifteen minutes north of Fresno. Our office facilities include a 5,250 Sq. Ft. engineering office complex with office equipment and space available to accommodate seven design engineers, six CADD operators and support personnel totaling a staff of 24. Our field engineering equipment includes 4-wheel drive trucks complete with cell phone communications. Our modern electronic survey instruments, including robotics and networked computer systems, are equipped with current CAD processing systems for the complete preparation of plan and profile drawings. Our networked computer systems provide up to date programming support for clerical, accounting, engineering design, hydraulic analysis, database management, graphics and LaserJet printing.
We are licensed Engineers and Surveyors in the states of California and Colorado. In conjunction with a highly specialized selection of consultants in the environmental, planning, landscape, electrical, structural and traffic fields, our highly experienced staff has been providing central valley towns, cities and private individuals with quality public works and private engineering construction projects for over 39 years.
